With the global population increasing rapidly, there is the need for development and application of innovative techniques to address water security and ensure sustainable development. This new UNESCO Guidebook on Scientific Writing provides insight into the art and science of writing and publishing manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals. It comprises six chapters that address elements of research and scholarship; publication outlets and processes; typical manuscript sections; and language and visualization tools. Water security is used as the field of reference. This guidebook is intended to help authors, especially youth and women, to contribute more to the creation and dissemination of knowledge and innovation to support sustainable development, especially in the area of water security.
