    Abstract
This study was conducted between December 2022 and March 2023. The overall objective was to support evidence-based disaster preparedness and response planning through integrating ethics and community engagement using Uganda’s COVID-19 management experience as a case study. The methodology used involved a one-day brain storming workshop that brought together specialists that took part in the COVID-19 response at the Silver Springs Hotel Bugolobi followed with another one-day validation meeting.
