Competence Profile for the Primary School Teacher in Uganda

Abstract

The Primary Teacher Competence Profile has been developed as a professional tool to guide teachers and all other stakeholders in primary education on identifying the desired competences of the primary school teacher in Uganda. The profile will help stakeholders to direct their efforts appropriately in their quest for teacher improvement. All players in the primary education sub-sector should embrace this profile and use it effectively as a tool to improve the quality of Universal Primary Education in Uganda.
