Following the piloting of the training manual on monitoring education policies and the training of Master Trainers; the Directorate of Education Standards embarked on the Training of Trainees (ToTs) who in turn will train the Associate Assessors. The quality of school assessors in terms of competences to evaluate school activities greatly determines the quality of teacher and school effectiveness. The Training of Trainees exposed the participants onto the various topical areas which were identified as priority areas in school supervision work. In particular participants' attention was drawn to characteristics of adult learners and how they learn so as to be able to appreciate the challenges involved in school supervision. The ToTs are expected to lead the training of Associate Assessors which will be carried out at the four regional training centers. The training targeted a total of four hundred (400+) trainees. This report highlights the objectives of the training, methodology followed, the major challenges as observed and noted by the participants and the suggestions to address such challenges. The four regional training centers included, Kabulasoke CPT, Bishop Willis CPTC, Gulu CPTC and Bushenyi CPTC.en_US
