dc.description.abstractThe Participation Programme (PP) on the Promotion of Alternative Vocational Skills for Poverty Eradication among the Youth in Uganda aims at sensitizing students, educators and policy makers on the existence of alternative lucrative vocational skills apart from those normally taught in the formal vocational institutions like catering and technical education. It envisages promoting awareness of these other vocational skills such as music, drama and crafts, which the youth could explore to create employment, generate income and alleviate poverty. The alternative vocational skills include the non- formal and non-examinable skills that are currently not taught in the formal vocational institutions but is widely used practiced. The skills include art, craft, etc.en_US
