The 1998 Educational Statistical Abstract is yet another publication of Education Planning Dept issued yearly. World over, the availability of statistical data on education has assumed a very crucial role in decision making for policy makers, administrators, and planners and in other spheres where data is indispensable. It is the endeavor of the EPD to satisfy the ever-increasing demand for education statistics in both content, and reliability by focusing on timeliness. To meet these expectations of the data users, we have enriched this issue by presenting for the first time data on Pre-school stage. In addition, primary and secondary parts have more in-depth variables which researchers will find more beneficial. For those enthusiastically studying the UPE program since inception, this abstract offers a better chance to compare and contrast with the 1997 issue.
The Abstract is divided into 5 parts:
Part One
Presents tables for the pre-school stage.
Part Two
This deals with primary level education -enrolment, teachers, scholastics, facilities and income and expenditure.
Part Three
This covers secondary level education - general.
Part Four
Presents data for institutions of higher learning.
Part Five
Technical and Vocational Education. | en_US |
