    Abstract
PREFACE Peace Education for Primary Schools: Learner's Book, Lower Primary has been prepared to enable learners learn concepts and acquire necessary skills for harmonious coexistence. It has been prepared to make the learners be at the centre of the teaching/ learning process, by making the learner's experience be a resource for learning. It is expected that the learners will fully participate in the process of learning to enable the acquisition of functional and sustainable skills. The teacher is therefore encouraged to involve learners in as many activities as possible when handling the different Learning Areas as a way of enabling them acquire the desired skills. The peace concepts are contained in the following learning areas: making friends; sharing; kindness, caring for those in difficult situations; happiness; living with people who have not treated us well; good things people do; living with people who are different; and controlling ourselves from bad actions.
