This handbook is designed to provide comprehensive professional reference material for practicing school inspectors in Uganda. It aims to: Describe the guiding principals that underpin the Ugandan inspection system Provide practical guidelines for conducting school inspection Provide advice on how to assist schools in their efforts to improve The content of this document overlaps partly with that of the 'Framework for School Inspection'. That document clarifies the Ugandan school inspection system for all stakeholders. This Handbook is a technical document directed at the inspectors themselves.
