Final Aide Memoire for the Second Education Sector Planning and Budget Workshop

Abstract

1.0 INTRODUCTION 1. This was the 2nd Annual Education Sector Planning and Budget Workshop after the adoption of a proposal to move to one Education Sector Review and one Education Sector Budget Workshop each year. 2. The broad objective of the workshop was to discuss the strategic planning and budgeting in the sector. The specific objectives were to discuss the; (i) draft Budget Framework paper for FY 2005/06-07/08 and the proposed budget estimates for FY 2005/06; (ii) sub-sectoral workplans contained in the ESSP/PEAP in relation to budget estimates for FY 2005/06 and MTBF 2005/ 06-2007/08; (iii) draft report on the Sector Wide efficiency study; (iv) PEAP annualised policy matrix.
