Final Aide Memoire for the First Education Sector Planning and Budget Workshop

Abstract

1.0 INTRODUCTION 1. This was the 1st Education Sector Planning and Budget Workshop conducted under the Sector Wide Approach following the adoption of the proposal to revert to one annual Education Sector Review (ESR) and one annual Education Sector Planning and Budget Workshop. 2. This Workshop was a three-day event with a broad objective of discussing strategic planning and budgeting in the sector. Specifically the Workshop focused on the following issues: (i) Discussion of the Draft Education Sector Strategic Plan, ESSP II (2004/5-2014/15), and, (ii) Discussion of the draft Budget Framework Paper for FY 2004/05 06/07 and the proposed Budget estimates for FY 2004/05.
