    Abstract
Executive Summary Over the FY 2007/08, the Education and Sports Sector continued to uphold its sector mandate "to provide for, support, guide, coordinate, regulate and promote quality in delivery of Education and Sports to all persons in Uganda for national integration, individual and national development". This was made feasible by Government fulfilling its commitment to poverty eradication by prioritising the sector in allocation of its resources in line with the PEAP targets. Over all, the Sector received Ushs 767.09bn inclusive of donor projects from Government for FY 2007/08, compared to Ushs 720.84bn in FY 2006/07 out of the total national resources. The projected resource for the Sector is Ushs 899.344bn inclusive of donor project for FY 2008/09 and 982.20bn for FY 2009/10. It is envisaged that while allocation of resources will increase nominally in FY 2008/09, shares to the sector will continue to decline across the medium term.
