Education and Sports Sector Annual Performance Report (ESSAPR)

Abstract

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY 1.0 Introduction The Education and Sports annual performance report for the FY 2017/18 provides stakeholders with a summary of the sector performance in its delivery of government programmes. This is the 15th Edition of this report. Specifically, this report provides an analysis of the sector performance against set goals, objectives and targets as articulated in the Education and Sport Sector Strategic Plan (ESSP), the National Development Plan (NDP),H.E. the Presidential Manifesto (2016-2021); Ministerial Policy Statement (2017/18) and the Aide Memoire for the 24th ESSR as well as the Annual Sector Work Plans. It also provides progress on performance of the off-budget interventions carried out with the education and sports sector. 1.1 Purpose of ESSAPR The purpose of this ESSAPR, therefore, is to provide feedback to the stakeholders on the performance during FY 2017/18. More especially, this 15th ESSAPR will inform the key stakeholders during the 25th Education and Sport Sector Review (ESSR).
