dc.description.abstract1.0 INTRODUCTION 1.1 The fifth Annual Education and Sports Sector Planning and Budgeting Workshop was held at Statistics House, Kampala from 26th to 27th March 2008. 1.2 The objective of the workshop was to discuss the Draft Budget Framework Paper for FY 2008/09 2012/13 and the proposed budget estimates for FY 2008/09. 1.3 133 Expected Outputs of the Workshop (i) A Budget Framework Paper (BFP) FY 2008/09-2012/13 and FY 2008/09 budget estimates. (ii) Agreed work plans for all education departments/sub-sectors for FY 2008/2009. (iii) Sustainable medium and long-term financing and investment framework, clearly indicating the extent to which budgeted amounts and expenditures match Education For All Fast Track Initiative (EFA-FTI) and Universal Post Primary Education and Training (UPPET) targets, the funding gaps being highlighted. (iv) Agreed options/scenarios and tradeoffs for all education sub-sectors. (v) Agreed sub-sector budgetary shares based on (iii) above.en_US
