Participation Programme Report on Promoting Science and Technology Education among Girls in Uganda

Abstract

This report contains the proceedings of two workshops on Promoting Science and Technology Education among Girls in Uganda that took place from 17th to 19th October 2007 at Mt. Elgon Hotel in Mbale Municipality and from 7th to 9th November 2007 at Acholi Inn in Gulu Municipality, and School visits that took place in March 2008 in the following girls' schools; Tororo Girls' School - Tororo district Wanyange Girls' School - Jinja district Sacred Heart S.S - Gulu district St. Mary's College Aboke Girls - Oyam The report entails, opening remarks, presentations by the facilitators, presentations by the participants resulting from group discussions, comments, observations from the participants, recommendations by participants and closing remarks and appendices The appendices of the report, include details of presentations, attendance, workshop programme and evaluation.
