| dc.description.abstract | As you grow and move from being a child to becoming an
adult, your body begins to develop and change. You will
also experience changes in the way you feel, think, make
decisions, and relate with people around you. This stage in
life is known as puberty and happens to both boys and girls.
Usually, puberty starts between ages eight and 13 in girls
and between ages 10 and 15 in boys, although some young
people start puberty earlier or later. During puberty you
may begin to become
curious about sex and to
start becoming attracted
to other people. In
addition, other young
people or even older
people may begin to
develop sexual interest in
you. However, this does not
mean that you are ready
to handle sex and and the
consequence of sex such
as teenage pregnancy
and sexually transmitted
infections (STIs). You have
the right to say no! Talk to
